Definition
As it pertains to a wiki on a car Models -- the platform is the basic frame and underpinnings common between the models built on it.
For instance, a 1969 Dodge Coronet, a 1969 Dodge Charger, and a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner were built on the B-Body platform. While a 1969 Dodge Dart, a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, and a 1969 Plymouth Valiant were all build on the A-Body platform. The 1969 Chrysler New Yorker, the 1969 Dodge Polara, and the 1969 Plymouth Fury were all built on the C-Body platform.
