Mopar Mack is a 61 year old kid... I'm the oldest of 4. Two brothers and a sister. I was born and raised in Virginia. I lived there until 1986 when I moved to Florida. I have been in Florida ever since... I have moved around several times in Florida but now have settled in DeLeon Springs.. I'm married and have one son and two daughters... All are grown and on their own... We are just 30 minutes from Daytona and an hour from Orlando... We live in the "country". Yes there is still country in Florida... Across the street is a dairy farm. Considering my work this is great.... I'm full time employed in the Dairy Services and Supplies business... I travel 9 SE states and Puerto Rico. I'm normally gone from Monday thru Thursday. Unless I'm needing more time for a race.... I re-started my racing career in 2000. All the kids were at least finishing college and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel... Other than racing I enjoy the beach, salt water fishing and just puttsing around the yard. We have two and a half acres and have several orange trees for our own use. In 2008 I built my dream shop.... But since then I have realized my dream was too small.. But I guess that is normal... Its 30 x 40 and has 15' ceilings and a 10,000 lb two post lift... I would not get things done without the lift... I keep two race cars in there plus my golf cart during the winter months when we are not using it....
In 2000 I bought a 70 Plymouth Duster from a VERY good friend... This was a former SS car that had gone thru many changes....

Bought a 1968 Formula S big block Barracuda in 2005.... This car had been owned by the same guy for 15 years... He didn't want to sell it but had ran into some health problems and just had to sell it... His loss was and still is my gain... I still have the car and will unless I HAVE to sell it.. It will be very serious for me to sell it....

Sold the Duster in 2006....
Bought a full chassis 1968 Barracuda in 2007 with a 340 and a 4 speed...
Sold the 340 and 4 speed and put in a BB automatic....
Sold the chassis car in 2008...
Submitted my application for a Challenger Drag Pak in August of 2008.... Learned in May of 2009 I was in the first 100..... Learned in August of 2009 that I was in the first 50..... Picked up the Car in Lavonia Mi November 23 2009..... Car # 43..... Build continues...... Wow, doesn't see so long ago I was writing this the first time... The Challenger build took two years and its now on the track... We are still working out the gremlins..... Hopefully we are about done with them...
Its now been almost three years and we are still at it... This year has been very challenging at the least.... We have had tranny troubles from the start. We lost three by the time we were at the Gator Nationals. We were trying to use a e-shift but I guess I'm just not smart enough to make it work. I sent it back and had it checked eact time and was told it was fine... The last time I got it back I left it in the box and its still there... I now have over 25 passes on the tranny and all is well.... Hopefully that is behind us now...
Still trying to get more speed out of the car... I know that is everybodys goal but I do feel we are missing something somewhere just not sure where...
