Rear Axle 9.25"
The 9.25" rear end replaced the Dana 60 as the most heavy duty rear axle offered. It was mainly used in big blocks with 4-speeds and/or trailer towing optioned cars. The ring gear is 9.25" in diameter, and that's where it gets its name.
