Beginnings of a Wiki, feel free to improve
As it applies to drag racing, prestaging the car is when a racer rolls his car into the first set of beams, which will turn on the the top set of yellow bulbs on older trees, and the top portion of the staging bulb on the newer style trees.
When courtesy staging, both racers will pre stage prior to a racer staging his car.
