A Pony Car was a 2-door coupe with a longer hood and a shorter deck, made to appear like a 4-seat sports -- and attract the younger drivers. Ford was the first to have a Pony Car with their Mustang. Other Pony Cars include the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, AMC Javalin, Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challenger, and Mercury Cougar.
