Definition

Index racing is when cars of a particular class are assigned an elapsed time number. Two competitors of the same index will leave at the same time for a heads up match race, while competitors with different indexes would have the slower car leaving first by the difference of the index times -- much like bracket race.

Nostalgia Super Stock is a class that typically runs with an Index.
